Jonas Voegeli is a Swiss graphic designer whose work is dedicated to book and editorial design, art direction, and corporate identity/brand development. Despite honoring the roots to a modernist tradition, his approach to design solutions varies: bridging conceptual, strategic, and experimental approaches with a progressive outlook towards the contemporary practice of graphic design and its means of production. Through various engagements with the design profession, his work, design methodology, and pedagogic approach serve as proof of his commitment to the advancement of the graphic design field — professionally and academically.
Voegeli was awarded the Swiss Federal Prize for Design in 2003 and 2009, and his work has consistently been awarded by Swiss and International design competitions, including: The Most Beautiful Swiss Books, The Most Beautiful Austrian Books, The Most Beautiful German Books, and the Best Book Design from all over the World. Voegeli is a founding partner of Hubertus Design (Zurich/New York), the head of Visual Communication at the Zurich University of the Arts, and a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI).
