Exhibition BLACK & WHITE. NOW
June, 22—29, 2023 / Israel, Jerusalem, Hansen House (14 Gedalyahu Alon St.)
Typomania opens its exhibition at the Jerusalem Design Week on the 484th day of the Russian aggression in Ukraine / while the Russian aggression in Ukraine rages on. Although many horrible things happen throughout the world while artists and designers dream and create, we simply could not discuss our project without mentioning the awful and complex reality of the war in Ukraine. This ongoing disaster raises questions we cannot but ask ourselves: what can the role of design be in times of such savagery? Is the world now divided into black and white, or do we still need the shades in between? The Typomania project has invited 20 designers and illustrators to answer the latter question through a series of posters that are displayed on the windows on one of the outer walls of the Hansen House.
